SMART Whole House Water Filter System 3D

This 3D animation shows exactly how water moves through the Crystal Quest SMART Whole House Filter. Each filtration stage is visualized so you can understand the technology protecting your entire home's water supply.

Why Multi-Stage Whole House Filtration Matters

Point-of-use filters only treat one tap at a time. A whole house system filters every drop that enters your home, protecting your drinking water, showers, appliances, and plumbing from sediment, chemicals, and scale buildup.

SMART Whole House Water Filter

The SMART Whole House Water Filter uses a multi-stage media bed to treat all the water entering your home. Two types of coconut shell granular activated carbon, standard and catalytic, work alongside Eagle Redox Alloy 6500 and 9500, ion exchange resin, and ceramic and tourmaline balls for pH balancing. The animation introduces the media used in the SMART system.

Standard coconut shell GAC for chlorine and chemical removal
Catalytic coconut shell GAC for chloramine reduction
Eagle Redox Alloy 6500 and 9500 for heavy metals and bacteria
Ion exchange resin for hardness minerals
Ceramic and tourmaline balls for pH balance

Water Entry and Sediment Contact

The animation begins as water enters the SMART filter tank from your main water line. The first contact is with the multimedia bed, which traps large particulate matter before water reaches the finer filtration stages below.

Coconut Shell GAC, Standard and Catalytic

Water passes through two distinct types of coconut shell granular activated carbon. Standard GAC adsorbs chlorine, volatile organic compounds, and chemical tastes and odors. Catalytic GAC goes further, breaking down chloramines, the disinfectant that standard carbon alone cannot fully remove.

Eagle Redox Alloy 6500 and 9500

The next stage uses Eagle Redox Alloy media in two formulations. The 6500 alloy targets chlorine and heavy metals through electrochemical oxidation-reduction. The 9500 alloy focuses on bacteria and algae control, keeping the media bed sanitary over its entire service life.

Ion Exchange Resin

Ion exchange resin captures hardness minerals like calcium and magnesium, reducing scale buildup throughout your plumbing and appliances.

Ceramic and Tourmaline Balls for pH Balance

The final stage uses ceramic and tourmaline balls to rebalance the water's pH after it has been stripped of contaminants. This ensures the water leaving the system is neither too acidic nor too alkaline, resulting in water that tastes clean and is gentle on pipes and fixtures.

Whole Home Benefits

The video brings the stages together to show how a SMART system treats water at the incoming household water line. Use the current product page to review the system and its configuration options.
