I can tell you exactly how hard your water is just with five numbers. Most people have no idea how hard their water is until something breaks. Give me your zip code and maybe we can avoid that. Let's start with mine. All you have to do is search Crystal Quest water hardness map, type in your zip code, and you can find your water hardness.
This number is grains per gallon. Anything above a seven and you're in hard water territory, which is where you start getting spots on glasses, crust on the shower head, soap that will not rinse, and a water heater working way harder than it should be. This is a free map. You do not need to buy anything. You do not need to give us your email.
