Which Water Is Best? Taste Test Pt. 2

Which water is best? In Part 2 of the Crystal Quest taste test series, tasters compare samples blind: bottled, tap, and our RO water, and try to guess which is which. Some are sure, some are surprised, and one keeps preferring the water he is convinced is not ours.

Why a Blind Comparison Is Telling

Tasting blind takes the labels away and lets the water speak for itself. In this round, tasters describe tap as reminiscent of pool or hose water and the filtered sample as noticeably more crisp, a real-world reminder that the difference often comes through clearly when you are not told what you are drinking.

That tastes like pool water. I've drunk out of a water hose. It tastes just like that.

This just has it's a little bit more crisp. I don't know how to explain it. It's like you can feel it more in your mouth.

I like that water. Oh, yeah. That's really good. That's the good stuff.

That's good water. I think A is bottled, B is tap, C is ours.

I agree, yeah. RO, I think I'm going to go tap and bottle. Don't want Kevin to be right and I'm not. I'm going to go with: A is bottled, B is RO, C is tap.

A is filtered. You think filtered? I think it's bottled. I don't think so.

This is tap water. Tap, 100%. That is 100% tap water. To me that tastes like bottled because it's just giving Fiji water to me and it's just very clean tasting.

Maybe I'm wrong. The one that you prefer the most isn't the one that you think is ours?
